FIRST WADE OF 2017
A FEW DAYS LATE ADDING THIS POST BUT I HAD MY FIRST DAY OF FISHING IN THE OLD HOMETOWN AND WHAT A DAY IT WAS. IN MY 50 YEARS OF FISHING BUFFALO CREEK I DON'T THINK I EVER CAUGHT MORE THAN 2 TROUT IN ANY GIVEN DAY. MONDAY WAS OUR USUAL DAY OFF AFTER EASTER AND I HEADED TO THE CREEK. I CAUGHT 6 TROUT AND THREE WERE REAL BEAUTYS. THE LARGEST WAS IN THAT 16 - 17 INCH RANGE. LOTS OF WILDLIFE TOO WITH A FOX SQUIRREL....PILEATED WOODPECKER....WOOD DUCKS....MALLARDS......MERGANZERS AND THE CANADIAN GEESE THAT YOU WILL SEE IN THE PICTURES. AS SOON AS I JUMPED IN THE CREEK I SAW ONE OF THE EAGLES. ONLY NEGATIVE TO THE DAY WAS I FELL IN THE WATER AS I SLIPPED ON A ROCK AND THE CURRENT JUST TOOK ME OVER AS I WAS STANDING ON ONE FOOT. BUT PEOPLE HAVE SAID I AM ALL WET FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER. : )
